The Soo Line is based on Angela McIntyre’s unpublished novel of the same name, a project she spent years researching to uncover the hidden histories, overlooked voices, and untold truths beneath the surface of the Prohibition era. Bringing the novel to the screen is more than an adaptation—it is the culmination of a long creative journey to honour the Prairies, give voice to the women who held these communities together, and bring to light the stories that history left in the shadows.
